Are You a Victim of Violence? Each year almost 4 million women are victims of domestic violence. A husband, lover, or ex-partner's abuse may be physical, emotional, economic, or verbal in nature.

You are a victim if your partner exhibits any of the following Behaviors:
· Is jealous of you or your children
· Is nice one minute and angry the next
· Throws or breakes things
· Threatens to harm you or your children if you leave him
· Insults or embarrasses you especially in public
· Threatens you with weapons such as knives or guns
· Isolates you from your loved ones
· Places blame for all problems on you
· Locks you in or out of your home; prevents you from leaving
· Hits, punches, kicks, sexually assaults you or uses any object to hurt you
· Intimidates or frightens you
· Threatens to take your childrens away or causes you to fear for your safety and the safety of your children
